Infinity Business Solutions Pty Ltd was started in 2000 by CEO Kamara Wagstaff having recognised the need for contract bookkeeping in small to medium sized business with the introduction of GST and quickly established itself in the market place as a leader in their field.
In 2009, new legislation was introduced to the bookkeeping industry and IBS embraced the change, having all staff and Management undertake extensive training. All IBS consultants have Certificate's IV in either Bookkeeping and Accounting and many have both, but staying up to date being members of various institutions, attending conferences, numerous subscriptions and industry publications as well as regular inhouse training.
In 2010, IBS became a registered BAS Agent viewable on the Tax Practitioners Board website providing their customers with the reassurance that they meet the expectations of bookkeeping industry standards.
Although IBS work with a variety of accounting programs, in 2004 Kamara became a recognised MYOB Certified Consultant, in 2006 a Certified MYOB Retail Manager Professional and in 2011 received a commemorative award for her work with the newly introduced MYOB AccountRight Live software. Most notably in 2016 she received the inaugural and prestigeous MYOB national award for Innovator of the year for her commitment to having a "connected practice" nurturing the relationship of Accountant-Bookkeeper-Client and of which she is most proud. She became a Reckon Bookkeeper Professional Partner in 2006 and in 2014 became a Xero Certified Advisor and in 2017 she continues to strive for further accreditations and recognition.
Over the years, IBS has continued to grow and although the Head Office is located in the South East suburb of Mount Waverley, it provides services across the metropolitan area covering the North, South, East and Western suburbs of Melbourne has a rural office in Bendigo and now in Cairns Queensland.
